Please help me to date and value my Schecter Mercury (strat type) guitar. Purchased 1985 in Australia.?

Candy apple red, white pickguard, ebony fingerboard, volume, treble, b controllers, 5 way pick-up switch, black pick-ups, distinctive 2 strap knobs on bridge-end of body. Candy apple red headstock. I can't find a serial number but I am sure it is genuine as I worked for the Australian importer in 1985, and we imported plenty of Schecters. Also where might I find the serial number?
